"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure." ~ Bill Cosby.
We all have a passion to succeed in some form or another. We know what we want to accomplish, what goals we want to attain. But the question is, what are we willing to do to achieve it, or not do? What are we willing to give up or sacrifice? What risks or chances are we willing to take? And is our desire strong enough to do whatever it takes?
Fear of failing is a major deterrent in obtaining success, and we all have or have had a fear of it. But it was those who obtained success that conquered those fears that would have held them back. That rage of desire burned the fear that was within. They became willing and able to do things that most would be afraid to do.
What are we afraid of? What is it that stops us in our path from reaching the success that we desire? The only thing that hinders us is that stored up fear of failing that rears its' head when it comes to stepping out of our comfort zone. It raises the doubt, "What if it fails?", or "What if it doesn't work?", or "What if I am no good at it?"
That type of fear and doubt keeps us stagnant and holds us back. When we hold these thoughts, we tend to procrastinate and hesitate do things we know that we need to do. Then we sit back and wonder why we are not getting anywhere. But instead of blaming it on our own fears and doubts, we tend to have outside sources take accountability for our failures.
The person whose desire for success burns greatly, doesn't wonder "what if". They have it in their minds that they will do what needs to be done in order to achieve the success they desire. They don't think about what won't work, because they will find a way to make it work and wait for no one. They don't worry about if they won't be good at something. They learn, train, and implement over and over, until they can master it.
When the desire burns the fear, you only see the end result and your actions that come from that vision will manifest and lead you to your ultimate goal. You will be able to do things you never thought that you would be able to do. It is all a mindset. You have to set your mind for your desire. You have see it as if it is right in front of you, and you can touch it when you put your hand out. Let that desire guide you and look at whatever you feared as an obstacle to be removed, to reach your success. Push it out of the way and tear down that protective bubble.
Then, and only then, will you be able to see your way through to the end.
