The project “Unconventional Ways in Traditional Arts” was a multilateral youth exchange, which had the main theme: art and popular culture through games, non-formal and unconventional activities. The main objectives were to develop entrepreneurship and creativity, to facilitate the socialization among young people of different cultures and to promote the cultural identity of each European participant. The youth exchange participants were from four countries: Romania, Italy, Lithuania and Turkey and were aged between 15 and 30 years. The youth exchange took place in Romania, in Targu Frumos, and as well as in Iaşi for a period of 7 days and involved at least 20 young people. The main activities consisted in making a flash mob to promote multiculturalism and cultural identity, in organizing an international parade and in developping an event to promote the European Year of Volunteering. The event has been disseminated by creating a special web-page and by making an unconventional short film.
